The World Harmony Run is back in Albania! After sayingd goodbye to Greece, we crossed the border in the late morning.

...old friends from the Marathon Club Tirana were waiting for us!...

..their team bus...

...after a group picture, we started into the new adventure...

...the south of Albania is similar to Northern Greece: snowy mountains and fertile plains with orchards and green fields...

...local transportation...

...and memories of the past...

...we were literally cooking on the street, as the sun burned down mercilessly...

We reached Korce in the afternoon.

Children dressed in their team uniforms welcomed us with flowers...

"High fives" in Albania!

...a school teacher welcomed us and we all ran to a local school together!...

...we simply took over the whole road - the kids had lots of fun!...

...at the school we presented the WHR, despite some translation problems...

We managed to introduce the idea of the run to the kids...

...the children sang for us...

..and we then ran out of Korce...

...on the way to Pogradec we stopped at the family home of one of our local runners:

..the whole family greeted us with sweets...

...we explained the route...

in the evening we reached Pogradec, the Albanian city located on Lake Ohrid.

....we finished a long running day with a short swim in the refreshing lake...
