In the morning we met a group of students at the statue of Mother Teresa in Tirana, and they ran with us to their sport university.

A representantive of the Ministry of Culture welcomed us...

..at the University, runners were welcomed with flowers...

..and the rector of the academy received the torch...

..after our presentation of the World Harmony Run, students passed the torch...

..leaving Tirana, we headed further north...

..long kms on hot, dusty roads...

We arrived in Liac.

A group of students was waiting for us as we approached the city.

..the Mayor welcomed us...

..what language is this???...

..we all ran out through the city together; the Mayor took the lead!...

..we met neighbouring Austrians in the middle of Albania...

In the afternoon we reached Lezhe.

..the Mayor of Lezhe welcomed us...

..and the kids were more than eager to hold the torch...

..we continued running towards Montenegro, and reached Shkoder in the evening...

In the evening we thanked Suat and our companions from the Marathon Club Tirana, for running all the way with us through Albania. All of them are great runners and they earned our deepest respect for making such an effort! They are truly World Harmony Runners!
