Australian Opening Ceremony 2012  

• Angela Harnett plays flute whilst guests arrive. 

• ‘Uncle’ Lewis O’Brien offers ‘Welcome to Country’.

• World Harmony Run team run into Ceremony and pass the Torch to Uncle Lewis. 

• Aboriginal performance ... TBC

• The Right Honourable Lord Mayor Mr Stephen Yarwood welcomes the global event to Australia and offers his support for the message of the Run – “Peace begins with me”. 

• The children’s choir from Star of the Sea Primary perform a Bocelli song. 

• International World Harmony Run representative Mr Adhiratha Keefe speaks about the 25th Anniversary of the World Harmony Run. 

• 25 local students, teachers, and visiting children from the Congo (all from different nations) line up on stage and speak words of peace in English and then in their native language. 

• A 25 'Dove Release' for the 25th Anniversary of the World Harmony Run.

• Star of Sea Choir sing World Harmony Run Song. 

• Runners head up Rundle Mall
