Jan Mangleson of the Byron Bay Community Centre becomes the second person to receive the Torch-Bearer Award on the Australian leg of the Run.

Jan has been a tireless supporter of the Community Centre that is affectionately known as "The Heart of Byron". The Centre runs a very active theatre group, a local radio station, a writers centre and adult education courses, as well as regular meals for underprivileged and homeless people.
