Nita works tirelessly to support and promote the wellbeing of the Port MacDonnell community. She is the founder of Bay Town Group – a non-profit organization that conducts fundraisers for community projects, supports health and exercise programs and supports junior sports activities.

She also helps to maintain community parks and gardens and runs school holidays programs and other community events.
