Just east of Halifax in the beautiful south shore West Hants district students from Brooklyn Elementary school were gathered in front of the school and cheered us on chanting "harmony' as we passed on our way to West Hants Middle school where we were welcomed in by the school band. Some of the students held posters they had made expressing their sentiments for a more harmonious world.

Juste un peu à l'Est d'Halifax, dans le quartier West Hants, les élèves de l'École "Brooklyn District Elementary School" étaient regroupés sur le pallier de l'école et nous encourageaient en répétant le mot "Harmonie", lors de notre passage. Nous étions en route vers l'École "West Hants Middle School" où nous avons été accueillis par le groupe de musique de l'école. Des étudiants avaient créé des affiches sur le thème de l'Harmonie et les tenaient fièrement pour nous.

On route to Wolfville (Canada's first every fair-trade town), we stopped at a coffee roastery where the scent of mocha-java was billowing from the windows. We all enjoyed a nice hot cup of joe and proceeded to a nearby diner for some rhubarb pie a la mode.

En route vers Wolfville, ( Première ville adoptant le Commerce Équitable au Canada ), nous sommes arrêtés à la Maison de Torréfaction où l'arôme du café mocha-java se faisait très invitante. Nous avons tous apprécié notre délicieux nectar, puis sommes allés manger un délicieux morceau de "tarte à la rhubarbe à la mode" dans un resto voisin.

After this much-welcomed dessert experience, we met up with Phys. Ed. teacher Jeff Moore and a group of his runners from Wolfville Junior High School; they ran with us back to their school and right into the auditorium, where students from both Wolfville Junior High and Wolfville Elementary were gathered. Apparently the students had been prepped by their teachers about the run and its message, but the actual arrival of the team was kept as a surprise. Once they realized what was happening, they cheered with such enthusiasm! After we gave a talk about the run, the floor was opened up to the students who asked us a variety of interesting questions. The school principal awarded us with school logo key-chains. What a warm welcome and thanks again for helping us with our DVD.

Suite à cette très sucrée expérience de Bienvenue, nous avons rencontré le professeur d'Éducation Physique, Jeff Moore et son groupe de coureurs de l'École "Wolfville Junior High School". Nous avons couru avec eux jusqu'à l'école, où nous étions attendus pour une cérémonie dans l'auditorium. Tous les étudiants des École " Wolfville Junior High School" et "Wolfville Elementary School" étaient réunis. Apparemment les étudiants avaient développé en classe le thème de l'Harmonie avec leur professeurs, mais la visite des coureurs demeurait une surprise. Ils ont définitivement manifesté leur surprise avec enchantement en applaudissant les coureurs avec grand enthousiasme. Suite à notre introduction sur la CHM, les élèves ont pu poser une variété de questions fort intéressantes. Le Principal de l'École nous a attribué à chacun un magnifique porte-clé avec le logo de l'École. Quel accueil chaleureux !!! Et merci encore pour votre aide avec notre DVD.
