Today when we arrived at Elmdale Elementary School in Steinbach, we proceeded to the gym, running through a crowd of cheering children. The school gave us an extremely warm welcome and showed tremendous enthusiasm. The children not only sang the World Harmony Song but had created an extra verse!

À notre arrivée, aujourd'hui, à l'École Élémentaire Elmdale de Steinbach, nous sommes entrés dans le gymnase en courant parmi une foule d'enfants qui nous acclamaient. L'école nous a accueillis si chaleureusement et avec un tel enthousiasme. Les enfants non seulement ont entonné le chant-thème de la CHM, mais ils y ont même ajouté un verset!

Next we ran to the City Hall to meet with the Deputy Mayor Art Rempel who welcomed everyone to the ceremony with great enthusiasm. We are grateful for his kind words as he added his wishes to the torch.

Puis nous avons couru jusqu'à l'Hôtel de Ville pour une cérémonie avec le Maire Suppléant Art Rempel qui nous a tous accueilli avec un grand enthousiasme. Nous lui sommes reconnaissants pour le discours émouvant qu'il a prononcé alors qu'il offrait ses souhaits d'Harmonie en tenant le flambeau.

As the torch continued on its way, we crossed from Manitoba into Northern Ontario arriving at Lakewood School in Kenora to an enthusiastic welcome. After a short presentation we headed out for a run in the schoolyard. So many children held the torch and made a wish for world harmony.

Alors que le flambeau poursuivait sa route, nous sommes passés du Manitoba au Nord de l'Ontario, accueilli avec enthousiasme, à l'École "Lakewood School" de Kenora. Au terme d'une brève présentation, nous sommes allés courir dans la cour de l'école. Plusieurs enfants ont tenu le flambeau et ont offert leurs bons voeux pour l'Harmonie Mondiale.

In the early afternoon we arrived at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Kenora. The running club was waiting for us in the library. We had an informal meeting where the students asked us questions about the WHR and then we all headed out to City Hall, relaying the torch as we ran.

Nous sommes arrivés à l'École "Saint-Thomas Aquinas High School" de Kenora en début d'après-midi. Le club de course de l'école nous attendait à la bibliothèque. Nous avons échangé avec les étudiants, puis sommes partis pour l'Hôtel de Ville, en relayant le flambeau.

A very special to the management and staff at the Holiday Inn in Dryden, Ontario. We are extremely grateful to them all for the lovely rooms provided to us during our overnight stay.

Un merci tout spécial à la direction et au personnel de l'Hôtel "Holiday Inn" de Dryden en Ontario. Nous leurs sommes si reconnaissants de nous avoir commandité des chambres pour la nuit.
