Canada 8 October: Grand Forks - Osoyoos

TEAM A

We would like to offer our gratitude to the Grand Forks Ramada Inn for providing complimentary accommodations for the entire team last night.

Our first event this morning was at Hutton Elementary School in Grand Forks,

We ran into the school yard

to a reception.

Demonstrating the passing of the torch.

Holding hands in harmony.

Principal Doug Lacey accepting our appreciation certificate.

Two J.J.'s with the torch.

The Harmony Run has arrived !

This morning we had an amazing weather, sunny, little cool with gentle breeze, just perfect for running. The scenery is very beautiful; we have lots of steep hill workouts as we are entering the Okanagan River valley.

The great Okanagan valley! Isn’t it amazing!

Running down the zigzag and narrow road to Osoyoos was one of my favorite parts of the run.

In Osoyoos we visited the Elementary School with really amazing kids, when we showed them our WHR DVD they just started spontaneously clap to the WHR song. They were a great audience, we had a nice silent exercise to feel harmony inside our hearts, we sang the song together, run around the schoolyard and at the end everybody got to hold the torch and make a wish for world harmony.

The Principal, Mr. MacFarlane holding the torch.

Here we are presenting the school's Vice Principal Chris Hambleton with the certificate of appreciation and WHR T-shirt.

…and back on the road through the beautiful valleys…

Wow…what a wonderful day!
