Victoria: October 7

Bhakati's Freedom-Flyer"  (note the flag of St. Andrew!)

Runners  Teresa Rush, Sharon Bearpark and Janine hold the Torch high before running the last three miles with Bhakati's 7 mile  GRATITUDE - JOY RIDE.

Friends holding the Torch at MacNeil Bay.

(Left to right: Shirley St. Pierre, Bhakati, Teresa, Naz Rayani, Jeannine McNicol and Bhagwan Bandechha.) Picture by Sharon

We gathered at MacNeil Bay for a simple ceremony with the Torch.

Evening was setting in, the moon and stars came out and an eagle circled overhead.  The moonlight made a pathway on the water and the lights of Port Angeles in Washington State twinkled across the Strait.

It was a special honour to have Naz Ryani join us.  Naz is a recipient of The order of Canada, a prominent figure in the Ismaili Muslim community and an organizer of the Aga Foundation's World Partnership Walk.   It seems now that Bhagawan has been producing the samosas for that Walk!
