Estonia 24 May: Mustvee - Leie

Little did we know that this was to become the day of the mosquitos. In all our running years around the globe we never experienced such a thing! Thousands of the little vampires tortured each of us from the morning 'till the evening.

We were not sure if the Estonians realize that their country actually looks like a mosquito...

Nevertheless, it was absolutely a great day! Estonia kept us very busy and so we went early in the morning straight to the Gymnasium in Mustvee.

...the kids were extremely nice and gave us a warm welcome...

...even the teachers participiated enthusiastically...

..the symbolic run brough real heroes to the fore: even falling, the boy did not let it go and kept the flaming torch high! That's the real spirit!

Thanks for the meeting!

Soon after Mustvee we reached Torma. Children were already waiting at the city border to run with us and smaller kids lined up for high five on our way to the school...

...great actions with the world Harmony Run song!

...the kids took the flame from our torch and transfered it to an oill amp...

...one of the culprits: our presentation turned almost into a dancing performance, as we had to keep moving...

...the school learns German and English, so the kids sang a German song for us...

...once around the sport field...

...the brave runners from the school in Torma...

See you again soon!

In Jögeva local runners, led by their mayor, carried the torch through their city.

A children choir welcomed us at the city square..

We handed over the torch officially to the city, which celebrated its birthday!

Thank you for the nice gifts...

The kids led us out from the meeting and shortly after a run through the city we were treated with a great lunch!

...the country side of Estonia is extreme serene and beautiful...

Vägari welcomed the World Harmony Run! The kids met us along the main road and after a short introduction we ran together to the school....

...a singing performance...

The smallest children just woke up and a group picture ended the warm meeting....

We reached Pöltsamaa and runners met us along the road...

...another musical welcome!

Attention runners!

Kolga-Jaani was our last meeting of the day. The children carried the torch into the meeting. Despite the hour of the day many kids came to meet our int. team!

The goal of this run was: storm the hill!

A few kind words and the kids joined us on our way out of Kolga-Jaani!

Good bye Kolga-Jaani! What a day! Estonia proved to be a real milestone in our aspiration for peace and harmony!
