Estonia 25 May: Leie - border Estonia/Latvia

we woke up at our accommodation in Leie - most beautiful located in the nature of Estonia (and full of mosquitos, too....)

our first meeting of the day: the school Leie Pöhikool...

...we presented the World Harmony Run...

...and the kids sang much better than we did...

...after passing the torch we were invited to some traditional Estonian exercises...

...a short run ended the meeting...

Thank you Leie!

...our team went on...

Mustla proved to be a spontaneous city. The meeting has been arranged on short terms, but the kids turned out to be very enthusiastic!

...when the teachers help the kids at the country guessing game, they get a penalty: once around the field!

"high five"

...we spent most km's of the day running on dirt roads - a runners paradise!

...small refreshments and an unexpected bagpipe performance in Tuhalaane...

...shortly before Karski kids joined us...

...the kids did turns in carrying the torch - the tempo went quite high!

...we reached Karski-Nuia...

...the meeting took place at the community centre...

...nice performances...

...and great refreshments...

...the community centre is privatly organised: what a great initiative for the children!

...lots of opportunities to relax...

...and also handicraft work...

...the kids started street art...

...and finally we planted a peace tree. Thanks for the great welcome!

...our new runner friends joined us all the way to the border between Estonia and Latvia!

...we arrived at the border Estonia-Latvia, as the Latvian team was already waiting for us!

Thanks to Estonia and to all our runners and organisers for the wonderful time we spent in Estonia! We will carry your message for friendship and peace with us in our hearts!
