England 7 March: Coldstream - Newcastle

Early in the morning we crossed the border from Scotland to England. A big "Thank you" to all our Scottish friends for hosting the World Harmony Run! We really enjoyed our stay and the awesome country!

...typical English countryside...

...watch out for the bull!...

...we use any trick not to get lost...

At low tide we reached Holy Island. This place is accessible only at certain hours of the day, depending on the tide...

...photo-shooting on the road...

The settlement was founded by a monk, who  also came to the island with a torch!

...we ran all the way up to the castle...

...and we met Austrian tourists...

...more tourists...

...more runners...

...and technical problems...

...only home-made Scottish chocolate pecan pie can cure the daily pressure...

In the evening we reached Newcastle. A short briefing before entering the city...

We finally reached our accommodation: Newcastle Airport!  The location turned out to be quite helpful, as more team members were flying in the same evening...

Many thanks to the Britannia Hotel for hosting our team!
