England 9 March: Helmsley - Leeds

This morning brought another chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Some of the locals were quite interested in us...

...Paparazzi...

Cold and clear - perfect weather for continuing our run across the moors, towards the historic city of York.

A gateway to the city...

A former resident....

Running past York Minster - the chance to take a few photos was too good to miss.

Next we visited Saint Wilfrid's Primary School, and were warmly welcomed with a nice cup of tea.

Everyone wanted to play "guess the country".

Passing the torch...

Friends...

It's time to run together...

...fast!

Saying goodbye...

...not again! This might be pushing things a bit far! Actually this time we had to use the tow rope to pull the silver van until finally it started again. A new part is on order and hopefully we can pick it up and get it fitted soon.

Thanks to our friends Eva, Dave and Sumangali for a great lunch! We weren't too sure if we would still be able to run after lasagne and two puddings, in fact we drew straws for the first running shift. But in the end everyone managed fine, and even picked up speed by the end of the afternoon.

A big "Thank You" to Hattersley for supplying the World Harmony Run with wick for our torches!
