7. Manny Kemp

Manny Kemp

Manny Kemp

Manny Kemp is being honoured for his exceptional dedication to fund-raising activities for charities and good causes, and his extensive involvement in Cambridge RAG.

Manny has been involved with Cambridge RAG (Raising and Giving) since October 2007. His speciality is street collections but he has also organised sponsored events. At the time of the award, he estimated that he had been personally responsible for around £42,000 collected for various charities and good causes. (Knowing Manny, this is probably an under-estimate!)

The time he has given over to voluntary work with Cambridge RAG is in excess of 2000 hours. He won Student Volunteering Gold Awards in 2009 and 2010. In 2010 he was also nominated for Cambridgeshire Young Person of the Year award and reached the final 14.
