Hungary 31 May: Biharnagybajom - Nyiregyhaza

“The World Is A Garden In My Heart” was the theme of a drawing competition which took place in Hungary at the beginning of the year.

180 schools participated, with more than 1,400 works entered in the two categories, single and team work. They were exhibited recently in Gyöngyös and Győr and so sometimes our ceremonies also included awarding prizes to the winners.

Tóth Bolgárka, a young third place winner in the drawing competition.

Running late, we passed through the Baltazár Rezső square in a hurry.

But the majorettes were waiting for us!

Do you know what laska, mir and radost mean? Maybe the runners and smilers from Rákóczi Ferenc School still remember.

They surely remember this few seconds of sharing.

Nagykálló was magnificent, providing a sunny afternoon, some red caps and a fountain along the way…

... with many, many faces.

We must say, our Hungarian team really made us fly along the road and from meeting to meeting.

And they presented us with different aspects of the country.

The mayor of Nyíradony is tied forever, in the cause of harmony

We stopped the timer for the day in Nyíregyháza, with a 5km run.

All the flags are ready for tomorrows ceremony.

Still, a municipality representative came to greet us kindly.
