Schools And Kids

On its way through, the World Harmony Run visits many schools and children's organisations, sharing with them some of the goals and ideals of the run. Depending on the length of the visit, our program can include:
  • Short sketches humourously illustrating what is and isn't harmony...
  • Fun games involving and engaging the children in the idea of World Harmony
  • A chance to be part of the World Harmony Run Team: holding the torch and making a wish for a better world, and (spece permitting of course) running outside in the playground with the Torch...

With a little preparation, you can really help make the World Harmony Run a special event in your school. Our experience has always been that students have a much more rewarding experience with the Run if they have given thought to the idea of what harmony means to them, their family and their community before we arrive. A good way to do this is through creative expression such as poetry, art and music; these creative expressions can then become part of the ceremony when we visit.
