In the morning we started at a children's holiday camp in the city of Firenze. The kids were quite enthusiastic and had prepared banners and drawings!
A dynamic run along the river Arno ended the meeting, and we headed westwards towards the coast.
Sun protection is very important!
After many kilometres through the hills of the Toscana we reached Pisa.
However you put it, it never gets straight!
Finally we reached the Ligurian coast and ran for 50 kilometres by the sea!
In Carrara (the most famous place for white marble) we met a group of runners, who joined us for the final kilometres to Sarzana. Among them, was former running champion Giuseppe Simoni!
Welcome refreshments and a short meeting with the city representative of Sarzana ended an intense running day!
We were given nice local sweets, which served many purposes...
