It was an easy task to cover the distance from Parma to Milano today as many new members arrived, ready for the team to split into two teams for a few days starting tomorrow.
We left Parma in the morning and followed the Via Emilia until Fontevivo, where the mayor and some children ran with us. The meeting ended with refreshments, and we went on to Fontanello.
The sport representative and some runners greeted us in front of the historic castle at Fontanello.
In Soragna, the village centre was closed because of a bicycle race, so the mayor waited for us on the outskirts of the village and ran with us to a table of refreshments.
Close to Busseto we entered Le Roncole Verdi, the birthplace of Italy's most famous composer - Giuseppe Verdi! Of course, we took photos and some team members indulged in buying post cards...
Our last meeting today was in Busseto. The city representative and firemen received us and invited us for another short rest. Kids joined us running in the village.
Nivedak, one of our real fast Italian runners!
The remaining kilometres for today brought us to the gates of Milano, but not before we had a typical Italian meeting in Pavia: what is Italy without Ferraris? We even found a really fast one!
We spent the evening with friends in Milano, and got ready for our big day tomorrow, when half of the team goes to France and the other half to Switzerland.
