Welcome to Latvia...

A big group of children and teenagers were eagerly awaiting us at the border. Time is precious, so we had to quickly say goodbye to our Estonian friends. Anne from Finland also went back home from here. Thanks Anne, see you next time..

In Ape we were given a warm welcome. A short presentation, sing our WHR song, take refreshments and on the road again...

Shining happy people...Davids, I told you; You need a camera to take a picture :)

In the evening we arrived in Aluksne. The major received us on the new bridge at the Aluksne lake. This is one of Latvia's longest lakes. Every year many water motor sport events take place here.

This big tray full of strawberries was a gift from the mayor. His wife had picked them this morning from their own garden - of course, they are all organic..

This young gentleman played some tunes for us...
