Latvia 28 May: Jurmala - Talsi

We started again in Jurmala at the main square. Quite a nice group of runners was already assembled and we left for runners paradise: running along and in the Baltic Sea for quite a distance!

...children from different schools joined us every few km's...

...if running was too much, some got a ride in our van!...

...no obstacle was too heavy...

...it was a hot day, so all our runners enjoyed a refreshing dip in the Sea...

..at the end of the beach more runners were waiting...

Cheers to the organisers of Jurmala: every few hundred metres a group of kids was lined up to pass the torch on...

..finaly we left Jurmala and reached Lapmezciems...

..at the school kids were already eagerly waiting...

..high five...

...and the stamps...

...the Latvians are very good singers...

...the teachers had to run, too...

Thank you, Lapmezciems!

...lonely roads through a dense forest...

...in Klapkalnciems more children welcomed us. They came with a huge bus!

...enthusiastic runners...

...thanks for running with us!

...and the street party continued in Tukums...

...groups of children accompanied us to the meeting place...

...a perfect place for kids...

...the deputy mayor welcomed us...

...there is always time for a coffee..

...we left Tukums with all the kids and the deputy mayor running. Thanks for the good time!

...and we arrived i n Kandava, a small, remote village with a big heart!

...a musical welcome!

Thank you for the hospitality!

...we enjoyed running in the scenic countryside. Even the main roads are rarely frequented by cars...

Shortly before Talsi local runners welcomed us...

Talsi is a really beautiful small town embedded in nature...

...great singers...

The deputy mayor welcomed us and with a group picture a very busy day ended.

Thank you Talsi!

Video Message from Dr. Davidson Hepburn, President (2009 - 2011) of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for 25th Anniversary of the World Harmony Run and a vision for the decade: "Toward a Oneness-World".

1. Pasaules mantojuma objekti:; 2. Mūzika ; 3. Mākslas un Dzejas radīšana un izstādīšana; 4. Daudzveidības novērtēšana; 5. Dažādu ticību pieņemšana; 6. Sabiedrības paraugi; 7. Jaunu iespēju atklāšana 8. Nekad nepadodies!:
