Malaysia 31 December: Pangkor

To close out 2010 and to herald in the new year, 2011, we took the torch to the Kaliamantan Temple in Pangkor, Malaysia.

Mr Shamar, the resident priest, welcomed us into his beautiful temple.

Mr. Sharman very kindly installed a plaque commemerating a concert World Harmony Run founder, Sri Chinmoy, offered at this temple in December of 2005.

As part of the ceremony Kailash Beyer reads a message of thanks from Ms. Ranjana Ghose.

The plaque is unveiled.

World Harmony Run Executive Director, Salil Wilson, presents Mr. Sharma with the torch.

Mr. Sharma then lit the torch from the Mother Kali statue.

We then walked around the temple three times - a remarkable significant way to begin finish one year and begin the next.

Sahana Gero makes some new friends.
