Johor Bahru,27 April

I made a special trip up north to Johor Bahru in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the World Harmony Run with a Hindu temple and a primary school.  I was intrigued by my experience.

Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple

This is the world's first glass Hindu Temple. Not only does it houses Hindu deities and Goddress, but uniquely, it also has statues of Mother Teresa, Guru Nanak, The Christ and others.

SKIJ Convent Primary School

Some 340 students sang the World Harmony Run theme song in the Malay language. They were the first school this year to sing the theme song in their national language of Malay on the 25th Anniversary day of the World Harmony Run. Special thanks goes to Mr Fairul who helped in translating the song into Malay language. I also like to offer my heartfelt gratitude to all the students who participated. - Urdhacheta Yap, Singapore
