Mexico 10 November: Mazatlan

Today we are visiting a couple kindergarten schools and the first one we arrived was Jardín de Niños Revolución. Five year olds gathered outside their school to receive the WHR Torch. All dressed in white with white balloons in their hands cheering for the torch.

Hoy vamos a visitar dos jardines de niños y el primero que llegamos fue el Jardín Niños Revolución.

Niños de cinco añitos estaban afuera de su escuela esperando la Antorcha por la Paz todos vestidos de blanco con palomas de papel y globos blancos en sus manos muy emocionados al ver la Antorcha.

Director Ana Guadalupe Olivo Martínez welcomed the World Harmony Run and spoke about the importance of harmony in our lives, we must learn to respect one another to be able to live in harmony. How we can find harmony in our hearts and children are the best example.

Directora del plantel, la profra. Ana Guadalupe Olivo Martínez dió la bienvenida a la Antorcha de Paz y habló de la importancia de armonía en nuestras vidas, que tenemos que respetarnos para así vivir en armonía. Como podemos encontrar armonía en nuestros corazones y los niños son el mejor ejemplo de ello.

Also Preschool Supervisor of the VII Zone, Professor Guadalupe Irene Ramirez Caro was present at the ceremony and welcomed the Peace Torch with such enthusiasm. She shared with the children how to find harmony in their hearts, that children are all hearts and we should learn from them and the future is in their hands, they are our hope for a better world.

También la supervisora de preescolar de la zona VII, la Profra. Guadalupe Irene Ramírez Caro estuvo presente durante la ceremonia y dio la bienvenida a la Antorcha por la Paz Mundial con mucho entusiasmo. Ella compartió con los estudiantes que la armonía se encuentra en nuestros corazones, dijo que los niños siempre están en el corazón y que debemos de aprender de ellos que son nuestro futuro, su futuro está en sus manos para un mundo mejor.

Our local coordinator Lohita Glez. talked to the children about the founder of the WHR, Sri Chinmoy, how much he loved children since they are in their hearts and he wanted to bring the Torch to children around the world. Then she made them feel harmony in their hearts by closing their eyes feeling peace within themselves.

Nuestra coordinadora local, Lohita Glez. habló con los niños acerca del fundador de la Carrera por la Armonía Mundial, Sri Chinmoy, como el amaba a los niños ya que ellos siempre entán en el corazón y el quizo que se llevara la antorcha a escuelas también para que ellos participaran en todo el mundo. Después Lohita hizo que los niños sintieran en sus corazones paz al repetir la palabra paz en silencio.

Children participated by reciting beautiful poetry and singing. At the end they let go of their white balloons to share with other children their dreams for world harmony.

Los niños participaron recitando bellos poemas por la paz mundial y a travéz de la poesía como también bailando y cantando. Al final dejaron ir sus globos en el aire para compartir con otros niños sus sueños por un mundo de armonía.

The school choose a group of kindergarteners to carry the torch for our Peace Walk to our next school Jardín de Niños Romana de la Peña. When we arrived to Romana de la Peña there were children already outside the school waiting to receive the Peace Torch in beautiful Mexican traditional dresses along with their Director Ronaldo Leal Leal and together we all walked into the school which was beautifully decorated with doves and balloons.

La escuela eligio un grupo de niños para llevar la antorcha hasta la siguiente escuela Jardin de niños Romana de la Peña. Tomamos fotos antes de empezar la caminata por la Paz. Cuando llegamos a Romana de la Peña los niños esperaban ansiosamente la antorcha afuera de su escuela donde dos niñas estaban vestidas con vestidos mexicanos folkloricos. El Director de la escuela, el Prof. Ronaldo Leal Leal Recibió la antorcha con sus estudiantes todos juntos entramos a la escuela que estaba bellamente decorada con palomas de paz y globos.

Director Ronaldo Leal welcomed us and expressed his gratitude for coming to his school to share with them the beautiful message of peace and harmony. His students participated sharing their message of peace reciting poetry, drawings and dances. Everything was so beautiful and the children´s hearts for world harmony and a better world we all felt throughout the entire school.

El Director Ronaldo Leal nos dio la bienvenida y expresó su gratitud por estar en su escuela para compartir con sus estudiantes ese bello mensaje de paz y armonía de Sri Chinmoy. Sus estudiantes participaron compartiendo mensajes de paz a travéz de la poesía, dibujos y bailables.

Todo estuvo tan bonito y el corazón de los niños por un mundo mejor se hizo sentir en toda la escuela.

Our local coordinator, Lohita Glez. thanked the teachers and staff for a job well done and told the children to always be in the hearts, to feel the peace that resides within ourselves and we all closed our eyes for a moment of silence to feel harmony within ourselves.

Nuestra coordinadora local Lohita Glez. agradeció tan bonita bienvenida y por tan bello trabajo hecho por los niños y les dijo que siempre estuvieran en sus corazones para encontrar la paz que se encuentra dentro de cada ser humano. Todos cerramos los ojos y guardamos un minuto de silencio para sentir la paz.

Preschool Supervisor of the VII School Zone Guadalupe Irene Ramirez Caro congratulated the children for a job well done and loved their message of peace that children had written in posters: Peace in the World, Love and Respect, A better World, Do not contaminate the Oceans, she shared with the children that it is up to them to better the world since they are our future and closed by saying that “If we change, the world is going to change”.

El supervisor de la zona VII de preescolar, la profesora Guadalupe Irene Ramírez Caro felicitó a los niños por un trabajo bien hecho y le gustó mucho los letreros con mensajes de paz y un mundo mejor de los niños que decian: Paz en el Mundo, Amor y Respeto, Un mundo Mejor, No contaminen nuestros Océanos, ella compartió con los niños, que de ellos depende un mundo mejor ya que son nuestro futuro y cerró diciendo que “Si nosotros cambiamos, este mundo va a cambiar”.

The kids later on let their balloons go up in the sky, each of them looking up, with a new dream, new hope for a more harmonious world.

Los niños dejaron ir sus globos blancos hacia el cielo, cada uno de ellos mirando hacia arriba, con un sueño, una esperanza de un mundo mejor de armonía.
