...another hot day in Moldova was about to begin...
... încă o zi toridă e pe cale să înceapă în Moldova...
...we started at the Opera&Balet Theatre and Mr. Ion Cebanu, Minister of Youth and Sport, greeted the runners with kind words...
... am început la Teatrul de operă şi balet "Maria Bieşu", iar dl Ion Cebanu, Ministrul Tineretului şi Sportului, a salutat alergătorii cu cuvinte frumoase...
Then the Minister passed the torch to the Head of mass sport events department, Mr. Teodor Dănilă...
Apoi Ministrul a transmis torţa Şefului direcţiei sport pentru toţi, dl Teodor Dănilă...
...we started our today's journey...
... am început călătoria...
Mr. Ion Babara, Chairman of Runner's club "Expres-C". He ran with the olympic torch in 1980...
Dl Ion Babară, Preşedintele Clubului amatorilor de alergări "Expres-C" - unul dintre purtătorii torţei olimpice pe teritoriul ţării noastre în 1980...
After a few km we reached Chetrosu; a short but friendly meeting took place...
După câţiva kilometri am ajuns la Chetrosu - o scurtă, dar prietenoasă întîlnire...
...we arrived in Cainari and a group of athletes joined our team on a run through the city...
... am ajuns la Căinari, unde un grup de sportivi s-au alăturat echipei noastre în alergarea prin oraş...
We stopped at the museum of Alexei Mateevici, the composer of the National Anthem of the Republic of Moldova...
Am făcut un popas la Casa-muzeu "Alexei Mateevici", unde a locuit cel ce a creat poemul "Limba Noastră", imnul de stat al Republicii Moldova...
...and the traditional bread with salt...
...tradiţionala pâine şi sare...
...the mayor greeted our runners...
... primarul a salutat alergătorii noştri...
...and the kids performed for us while we enjoyed a great lunch...
... în timp ce noi serveam un prânz nemaipomenit, copiii au interpretat poezii şi cântece...
...a police cap serves many purposes...
... chipiul unui poliţist poate servi mai multor scopuri...

... arşiţa a atins un nou record: drumul a început să se topească...
...still we kept going...
... dar noi am mers înainte...

...and the next meeting on the way to Tiraspol: we reached Gisca...
... întâlnire la Gîsca: popas în drumul nostru spre Tiraspol...
...the representative took the torch...
... reprezentanta localităţii a primit torţa...
...once more bread, this time with wine...
... încă o dată pâine: de data aceasta, cu vin...
...the kids were dressed in traditional costumes from the Ukraine, Russia and Moldova...
... copiii erau îmbrăcaţi în costum naţional ucrainesc, rusesc şi moldovenesc...
...the athletes joined us all the way to Bender...
... atleţii ni s-au alăturat pe tot drumul spre Bender...
The champions Valentina Dobzeu and Fedosei Ciumacenco lead the group of runners...
