Russia 2 June: Morskoe - Kaliningrad

Welcome back to Russia! We started in Morskoe and reached soon Rybachi. A busy day was about to come...

Kid were eagerly waiting and carried the torch into the community centre.

...we passed the torch, which became quite handy as the light was low...

...teacher's indoor - punishment: push-ups...

Thank you Rybachi!

In Zelenogradsk we went first to a local school...

..the children prepaired peace doves...

...quite an enthusiastic country guessing game!

..and a stampede at the end! Thanks a lot!

Together with our local runners we ran into the centre of Zelenogradsk...

...a small, but hearty meeting on the main square...

..in Sosnovka we met more runners...

...local runners joined us....

thanks for the welcome!

..and next was Muromskoe.

..the kids rally got into it. A great meeting!

Guryevsk was a bit of the route, but the administration wanted us to be part of their city festival in the main park....

...we went on stage and offered the mayor of Gureyevsk the torch....

...cute performances....

...finally we reached Kaliningrad. The old German city has a totally different flair than the rest of Russia. You can breathe at every corner the history of the Prussian aera...

Kaliningrad's most famous son is Immanuel Kant, a great German philosopher...

...a small ceremony at the cathedral were he is burried, ended today's program...
