Barbara Nasarian-Eckstein from the Friends of the Rose Gardens Dortmund, offered us some profound words of wisdom...

Barbara Nasarian-Eckstein von den Freunden des Deutschen Rosariums Dortmund rezitierte inspirierende Zeilen...

With the words of Jalaluddin Rumi:
"be aware, be silent, pull the thorn of existence out of the foot of the heart, so that you can realise the rosebow in yourself"...
Mit den Worten von Dschalaluddin Rumi:
"Gib acht, sei still, zieh den Dorn des Seins aus dem Fuß des Herzens, damit du die Rosenlauben in dir erkennst...."

Garranbane National School near Dungarvan, . the students had done a lot of preparation!

They composed and performed a very clever round to the melody of 'Row row row your boat' - you can read the words below. It is now firmly stuck in our heads, and we have been singing it ever since...

The day began with a whirlwind tour of Galway schools. The pupils in Educate Together National School had been preparing some beautiful artwork and poetry on the theme of friendship and harmony.

Here is one poem, by 10 year old Philip Walsh:

We gathered together in the garden of Ojars Vasietis Museum. There are the National Poetry Days, and here in the garden there was one of the poetry reading events.

The director of the Ojars Vasietis Museum ran with us when we continued our route.
