Thailand, 13 February: Bangkok

The international team arrived in Bangkok yesterday (12 February).

An unusual way for our team to travel...

Today we were invited to visit the "Modern International School" in Bangkok. Its Vice-Chairman, Mr Narong explained that this multi-cultural school participates in quite a few peace and harmony activities.

One of their own initiatives, which impressed us deeply, is a one-minute-meditation-session twice a day. The first session, before school starts, is for peace and the second, around lunch-time is for gratitude.

The schools was delighted to join the World Harmony Run. The students greeted us with a beautiful banner, which they created just that morning in their arts class. Some pupils waited for us at the entrance of the school and ran a lap with the team, carrying numerous flags with them.

They are planning to have a Harmony-Run-Day once a year in future, and to educate their students so they can go to other schools on their own and spread the message of the Harmony Run.

After the presentation, the Vice-Principal, Mr Dominic and his assistants Ms Maria and Mrs Mohana invited us for a delicious Indian-Thai vegetarian lunch. We were quite astounded to hear that this delicious food is actually provided daily for the students!
