USA 19 April: Washington, DC to Monticello, VA

The runners were escorted into Alexandria, Virginia by bagpipe player and world harmony enthusiast Pam Levy.

Mayor William D. Euille greeted the runners and offered a few kind words about our efforts.

Sarah Arnold very nicely coordinated our meeting in a beautiful old town setting.

As we passed the torch several people offered the wishes for world harmony.

Vilupti from Canada addresses the crowd at the awards ceremony for theCharlotsville, VA Marathon.

The band had gathered a very nice crowd.

The first place woman was Peggy Kern. She ran a personal best, 3 hours 3 minutes. Fantastic Peggy!

Carrying the torch in front of Monticello was exhilerating.

Simply picturesque.

The gardens at Monticello were just gorgeous.

It is such a peaceful place to spend time and learn about one of the greatest men in history.

The girls enjoy a wonderful rest at the Henry Clay Inn. This is the third time Ms. Carol Ann-Houston and Staff have supported us. Susan Martin poses here with the girls.

The boys were openly welcome to the Super 8 Motel in Ashland, VA by Mr.Chad Shah. He was so happy to see us again. This the third time he has supported us. We are so greatful to be so enthusiastically received.
