USA 28 April: Butler, GA - Baconton, GA

Sarah Cobb Elementary, located in Americus, GA, gave us a really enthusiastic welcome to lift our spirits after getting rained on the entire morning.

Jitavrata took the students along our route from New York City finishing by pointing out our current location.

He then took time out for an interview with the local news station.

Tilvila Hurwitt, our Florida coordinator, was all smiles after meeting the team in Georgia as we headed south towards her territory.

Thelma Owens, Principal of Sarah Cobb, led us out of the school auditorium to a thunderous applause.

The Boys and Girls Club of Albany, GA was our next stop.

One of the instructors received the torch on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club.

Some of the boys and girls club members gaze up at the torch.

Jitavrata and Lunthitha represent the USA on our team.

Special thanks to the Jameson Inn and the Days Inn for so kindly accommodating us for the night. It is only with this kind of support we are able to serve the communities we visit along the route.

Thanks also to the local Subway shop in Thomaston, GA for generously providing lunch for the team today.
