USA 8 June: Ventura, CA - Santa Maria, CA

Today was another day all about the running.

Papaha could not keep the smile off his face and he doesn't even consider himself a runner. He loves tennis though!

And surfing...as did these two guys who very happily held the torch for harmony.

This young lady made a most sincere wish when she held the torch. Seems that Papaha's smile is permament.

These nice folks stopped to ask several questions as we ran through Lompoc.

Bansidhar visits the beach at Dana Point, where he had begun his 3000 mile solo run across America in 1985. His Journey of 108 days was an expression of gratitude to Sri Chinmoy and in celebration of The United Nations International Year of Peace.

You meet a lot of interesting and unique people along the beach. So many free spirits!

Jeromy offers the torch to Steve from Santa Maria, who was out on a beautiful day for a bike ride.

In Guadalupe, this very nice gentleman gave a "celebrity" discount on his fantastic strawberries!

Atulya assists Salil in the creation of his sundae in the home of our wonderful hosts - Paripurnata and Jibitesh. They spoiled us rotten with an amazing Brazilian meal topped off with create your own sundaes for dessert!

Their beautiful Victorian home was home for us for the evening and well into the next morning.
