USA 10 June: San Simeon, CA - Moss Landing, CA

We camped by the Pacific Ocean last night and this is what we saw in the morning.

Our two photographers found it very difficult to leave.

Meanwhile the first team out was busy informing the local residents about our endeavors. You can see they were absolutely captivated.

This morning was some of the most stunning running of our trip thus far.

The road was really quiet, it was just us and the ocean.

In Carmel, we dropped in on the Junipero Serra Elementary School.

The school was converted from an old Spanish mission complete with a beautiful bell tower.

This was almost our last school for the year - we will miss these visits as the children we meet provide us with tremendous inspiration and hope.

Shyamala invites the students to share their own dreams for a more harmonious world.

Thanks to the Holiday Inn Express...

Econolodge Bay Breeze and

Holiday Inn Express - Marina for a wonderful night's sleep.

Special thanks to Tillie Gort's Cafe in Monterey for offering us dinner. The food was delicious!

Scott and Chris from San Diego offer us some encouragement.

Annelies and Kaan, a couple from Holland were delighted to meet up with our runners today.
