USA 14 June: San Francisco, CA - Salt Point State Park, CA

We began our morning meeting the San Francisco Road Runner's Club. After explaining the purpose of the run, we were fortune enough to run with many of the members. They had planned a training run that morning and very graciously alllowed us to join.

We split into our respective run paces and set off on a series of loops that allowed for each person to run their chosen distance and finish where they started.

The members were simply delightful. Most paces were converstation pace, so we could find out about each other and answer many questions about the run.

All the members had the opportunity to at least hold the torch if not run with it.

Our great friend Shambhu Neil Vineberg, the first and foremost executive director showed up to offer his support. We all thanked him with all our hearts for giving form to this beautiful vision of Sri Chinmoy. He was very proud of the heights that the run continues to achieve.

After our run, we were treated to an excellent breakfest buffet. Tons of fruit! Just the way I like it.

Thank you so much for such a fantstic morning SFRRC! We loved meeting you all!

After our run we went to Golden Gate Park to visit a tree that is planted by and dedicated to the founder of the run, Sri Chinmoy.

After a moment of silence, we sang the World Harmony Run song and did a short ceremonial run in the park.

From there, it was off to Sports Basement Presidio, where we were hosted for a lunch and snacks provided by Ananda-Fuara vegetarian restaurant and Sports Basement. Alex Calderon was a tremendously gracious host. We felt right at home. Thanks for the great discount!

Running out of San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge was a real highlight for the team.

The surf was high!

We celebrated Shyamala's birthday early.

We all settled into dinner, again from Ananda-Fuara, at our campsite in Anchor Bay Campground.

We send Misha away tonight with all our love. She has been a fantastic teammate.
