USA 16 June: Westport, CA - Rio Dell, CA

It was all about the trees today. They dominated the landscape and filled our hearts with joy. Of course Pujari's heart always seems filled with joy. We are happy to have him aboard at least until Portland.

The beach also begged our attention. The California coast has consistently delivered since day one. What a delight to run here!

Jitavrata finally returned to the road after a brief sabatical with his grandparents. Welcome back!

The forest service was quite happy to hold the torch and wish us luck.

Sunanda will be joining us for several days. She's a great runner and always cheerful.

Kanala will be with us until a little after Seattle. This is her second visit to the US Run.

Some of us just hung out in the trees.

We also had a nice visit for the day from our good friend Garima from San Francisco. Thanks for the miles and smiles Garima!

Though we had no planned ceremonies, Rabinath was determined to share the harmony he aquired from these beautiful limbed giants. As he ran into Rio Dell he soon found a curious group of teens...

to hold the torch and ask questions about the run.

Thanks to Hometown Buffet, our women's team had a nice meal to prepare them for an evening of chilly camping.

Eureka KOA very kindly offered us several sites to accommadate our RV and tents. They had all the amenities we could ask for! Thank you for having us.
