USA 17 June: Rio Dell, CA - Del Norte Coastal Redwoods, CA

We are all loving northern California. Though a bit brisk in temperature, the scenery and fresh air is exhilarating! See our gallery for even more beautiful shots and blow-ups of all of them.

Our sisters, Shyamala and Dhavala, feel right at home. The coast reminds them of Cornwall in England and the temperature and climate conditions puts them right back in Scotland.

These folks from Redmond, Washington stopped to take a photo. Their son is a good runner and will join us as we run away from Seattle.

The Crescent City Lighthouse - a beautiful landmark - sets the scene for a tearful good-bye to my current homestate. We loved every step of the way!

Even Salil found a friend today. :-)

Entering Crescent City we were fortunate enough to have the local paper come and photo and interview Salil. Front Page the next day!

Some folks thought we were running to fast!

But all wanted to hold the torch!

Salil picked up speed as he was running toward our campsite for the evening.

The KOA in Cresent City offered some beautiful sites for the third run in a row! One of the most beautiful KOA's in America. Some of us were even able to watch the Celtics take the title!
