USA 17 July: Windom, MN - Mankato, MN

Our journey started today with a run out of Windom, MN. Steve, the City Administrator of Windom holds the torch and offers his goodwill for our run.

Local runner from Windom holds the torch.

The police escort for our run through the city.

Running with some employees from a local grocery store. They saw the runner's shopping and just had to run a little.

A powerful storm rolls in and looms ominously above the runner's head.

Whoosh, semi-trucks whiz past in the rain.

Shyamala, chilled from the rain is keeping warm under a towel.

Erik takes a moment to sing some songs while the runners are out blazing the streets.

Paula Traphagen-Bossert from Mankato, MN holds the torch and offers her enthusiastic support. We were so happy and grateful to have received a generous donation from her.

Picturesque Americana.

Fire roasted corn.

Joyful running.

A holdup in Madelia, MN.

Thank you Super 8 for cozy rooms.

A great thanks to Katie at Perkins in North Mankato for a terrific dinner.
