USA 31 July: Ashland, OH - Cadiz, OH

This morning Bansidhar ran a solid 15 miles. Bansidhar is our official photographer and a veteran of numerous cross-country torch relays.

After three and a half months on the road he is still totally enthused to get the perfect shot.

Satisfied after 15 miles - good going.

Our first appointment of the day was with the Alice Noble and Wooster YMCA Summer Enrichment Camp. The kids had made some great placards that spelled the word WELCOME.

We went inside and introduced ourselves to the students.

After watching a DVD about the run we headed out and ran with the torch.

Atulya tries highstepping his way through Ohio.

Putrima enjoying her last day of running with the team.

Shyamala making it look all too easy.

Later that day the YMCA Summer Camp in Dover, OH gave us a great reception.

Salil told the kids about our relay and the spirit behind it.

Harmony begins in the heart of each person.

Putrima explains she is from Russia.

Salil sweating in the heat.

Kathy offers her support and encouragement.

Zachary and his twin finding some respite from the hot weather.

Along the way people encourage with their smiles, kindness and goodwill.

Salil was given a water enroute - they must have taken pity on the over-heated Australian.

Atulya with a new friend.

Thanks to Tappan Lake for hosting us for the night.
