USA 18 April: Newark, DE- Baltimore, MD

The whole team join together to run into Rising Sun Elementary School.

The Mayor of Rising Sun, Mr Thomas Mumey, receives the torch...

...and leads the way into the ceremony.

Chandini Bachman is our enthusiastic coordinator for Maryland.

The librarian accepts our book for the school library.

Ms Bell receives the Torch Bearer award for her heartfelt efforts to promote peace and harmony amongst her peers and students.

Mayor Mumey presents the team with a Certificate of Recognition and Proclamation on behalf Rising Sun recognising our goal of promoting global peace with all nations.

He also generously gave every runner a wooden souvenir of the historic bank building in Rising Sun. Thank you :)

Rising Sun Elementary School were incredibly active in preparing for the World Harmony Run visit; music, poetry, art. They even named the day World Harmony Day!

Feeling the peace.

Every child touched the torch and made their own personal wish for harmony

Former Mayor, Mrs Judith Cox, joint with her grand daughter. Mrs Cox has been a long time supporter of the World Harmony Run.

The rain did not stop these courageous kids!

Heading inside...

...for a tour of the inspiring works the children prepared.

Every door was dedicated to a differnet country (see the gallery for more!)

Arpan, from New York, was greeted by cheerful locals on his running leg into Baltimore...

Many thanks to P.F. Chang's China Bistro for their incredible kindness in (over) feeding the ravenous runners. Your understanding of the World Harmony Run is extremely encouraging. Thank you!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Inner Harbor in Baltimore. They were incredibly hospitable.
