USA 20 April: Alexandria, VA - Carmel Church, VA

Our first ceremony today was Oneness-Family School in Washington DC.

Coincidentally the school was celebrating Earth Day so we had a joyful joint ceremony with the World Harmony Run.

Firstly the children did powerful performances reflecting Earth Day.

Oneness-Family School is a Montessori based school for children from 2 years to eighth grade. The school was founded on the principles of inclusion, peace and harmony and a recognition that education is fundamental in advancing these causes. We are always excited to visit this school which shares so many ideals with the World Harmony Run...plus the kids are ultra cute!

Then outside for our turn to entertain. The kids created this charming mural representing the four element of Mother Earth.

Suprabha, our world class ultra distance runner, joins us today representing Washington DC.

Peace comes from within.

The student government interviewed us :)

Every child had an opportunity to have their photo taken with the torch.

Andrew Kutt, the school Founder and Executive Director, with Madhavi Ray, the Junior Elementary Teacher. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Next stop, more cute kids at YMCA Falmoth.

Our very special thank you to the Henry Clay Inn in Ashland, VA. They have been supporting us at least since 2001! The Inn is like a breath of fresh air. Our women's team was raving about it!

Thank you to the Howard Johnson Inn and Suites! The room was so big all five of the boys team members fit comfortably!

"We all must
Allow ourselves
To be entranced
By harmony"
