Today we were blessed with an unforgettable day off at the Grand Canyon...

These three brave amigas set off well prepared for a full day hike to the bottom of the canyon and back.

Daulot also made the full arduous, yet richly rewarding, journey.

The rest of us took time to do smaller hikes and contemplate over the humbling immensity of the surroundings.

The prize for making it to the bottom is the cool waters of the Colorado River.

Some girls did a guided tour. Our trusty guide was very knowledgeable about the history of this incredible landscape, which is visted by over 5 million people each year.

Visiting this awe inspiring wonder of the world is an unforgettable and soul stirring life experience.
