USA 19 June: Florence, OR - Lincoln City, OR

Thanks to the kind room donation from the Best Western Inn in Reedsport, the girls team had a restful night.

The Oregon coastline is breath taking..

with sweeping panoramic views.

Early in the day, the girls' teams enjoyed Oregon's soft springtime rain. Warm weather dried things up quickly though.

Ratuja is right at home by the ocean.

Jana begins her run for the day in the clouds...

A local family is excited to learn about the Run.

Local organizer of the Cape Mountain 10 Miler stopped to greet Harita. He started running at the age of six and kindly gave shirts from the event to runners.

A young Oregonian gives his thoughts about the torch.

The kids from the Newport Parks and Recreation Center at the Clubhouse were excited to welcome the torch.

Tom gets the 'thumbs up' for showing the kids a rendition of harmony by attempting to carry an 'injured' Salil. The skits were a great success and enjoyed by all.

Our host Luke adds his hopes for world harmony.

Once the kids learned the Harmony Run motto, they were all eager to run with the torch.

After the ceremony, the runners were invited to join in with the kids for a running relay.

Nathan accepts the Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the Newport Parks and Recreation Center. Nathan thanked the runners by offering his thoughts, "I think world peace and harmony are the best and I wish they will happen forever".

Thanks to Newport for inviting us!

The runners are treated to a complimentary dinner by the Foon Hing Yuen.
