USA 21 July: Richland Center - Madison

Thanks to our gracious hosts at the Ramada Inn in Richland Center, the girls had a restful night of sleep and escape from the mosquito visitors at our last campsite. The boys meanwhile camped out.

Making our way to Madison... on an exceptionally comfortable day of running after many days of brutal heat. We were all thankful.

All the boys take their turns through beautiful farmlands, cornfields and Amish buggies.

We arrived in Madison to begin our run to the Capitol Building. We started our run outside of Fleet Feet Sports Equipment.

Jim from ABC Channel 27 joined us to shoot some footage for the 10pm news. He was our escort through the city.

A farewell to Jim just before reaching the Capitol Building.

There at last. Now, on to dinner care of our host Patty Chang from the Best Western Inntowner.

Patty has been a wonderful friend and supporter of the Run since 2008. We were pleased and honored to present her with the WHR Torch Bearer's Award for her continued service.

Patty kindly gave us a gift of InnTowner hats dedicated to breast cancer research.

Thank you Patty for your friendship and self giving.

We finished our wonderful five course meal offered by the Best Western and served by our new friend Daniel. A great ending to an excellent day of running.
