USA 26 July: Galesburg, MI - Dexter, MI

Thank you so much to the Quality Inn in Kalamazoo, Michigan for providing us with a wonderful nights accomodation!

Our first stop for the day was the Battle Creek Family YMCA, which always gives an enthusiastic welcome to the World Harmony Run!

The kids all made their own torches...

Did you know that are actually actions to the famous World Harmony Run Song? Salil and the boys on the team are real pros at demonstrating them!

Salil looks on benignly while Harita blatently defies all the fundamental tenets of the World Harmony Run and pushes the ever innocent Palash over in a mock race. The children are momentarily slightly stunned! Luckily the skit was meant to demonstrate what we are "not" about!

The children always enjoy the thrill of running with the torch!

We met Nathan and his mother last night and they came and ran a few miles with us out of town, thanks alot!!

Our next stop was the Martin Luther King Community Center in Jackson, Michigan. We gratefully offered them a certificate of appreciation for their continued support of the World Harmony Run.

Palash encourages a young particpant to continue on with our mini-World Harmony Run around the track of the Community Center. Yes, thankfully she still had a pulse after 100 yards and finished with flying colors!

John Willis has been running extraordinary programs at the Community Center for the children for over eighteen years. His dedication was truly inspiring to the whole World Harmony Run team.

We were so grateful to have Benham join us for some running along our route. We are wishing him well in the 100 mile race that he will be running this weekend!

Kapila Castoldi, our local coordinator, kindly took the team out to a delicous dinner! Benham and Soodeh joined us for the occasion. We are truly grateful to Kapila for all her continued work and support of the World Harmony Run for so many years!
