USA 30 July: Ashland, OH - Cadiz, OH

Many thanks to Days Inn, Wooster for a great nights accomodation for half our team..

And also to Hampton Inn, Wooster, who kindly looked after the other half of the team.

We started out early in Ashland and ran through some beautiful countryside.

Our first ceremony was at the Knights Field YMCA in Wooster.

Harita from New Zealand and Kagni from Finland are about to demonstrate what is NOT harmony...

Sujagaran from Russia is about to hoist the injured Lazlo from Hungary in his arms to show what IS harmony.

Feeling the peace.

All the kids love holding the torch..

The Camp Leaders like to hold the torch too!!

And running with the torch is the best part of the ceremony!

Where did that girl go to??

Our local coordinator, Pam, presented the YMCA with a painting entitled "Harmony helps us to fulfil all our sweet dreams" by Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the World Harmony Run.

Our next stop was right around the corner, the Wooster YMCA.

The kids were very enthusiastic about holding and running with the torch!!

This girl is a future Olympian, she took off at lightening pace from the crowd of kids trailing behind her!

These kids surprised us when we played the "guess the country"game. Usually when the kids guess all the countries correctly we say they have to sing us a song and they all say "NOOO!!", but these kids all spontaneously sang us a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday...dear World Harmony Run..."!!

We presented the Wooster YMCA with another painting by Sri Chinmoy, this one entitled "Happiness".

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic participation, Wooster YMCA!

We were so happy that local 100 mile runner, Trevor Garretson from Newcomers Town, came out to run with us.

Trevor ran with the team two years ago, and enjoyed it so much he came back this year.

Trevor stayed with the team all afternoon, running 31 miles in total! Thank you so much for joining us, Trevor, see you in 2 years!!

– Harita
