9.00 Start running from Taree on the coastal road (Lakes Way) through Forster until Pacific Palms.(see map 27)

Pacific Palms to Bulahdelah – 52km

8.00 Drive 18 km to Pacific Palms.

8.20 Start running from Pacific Palms. Run along Lakes Way to Bulahdelah 42 km and then south on Pacific Way past Bulahdelah approx 10 km, until junction with Booral Rd.

Bulahdelah to Raymond Terrace – 67km

8.00 Drive from Forster 70km to 10km past Bulahdelah, at Booral Rd exit.

9.00 Start running along Pacific Hwy for 52km from Booral Rd exit along Pacific Hwy till turnoff to Raymond Terrace. Then proceed approx 15km to centre of Raymond Terrace and conclude running.

RV to remain in Forster for the day.

12.35PM Booral Public School, 2800 Bucketts Way, Booral.

1PM Drive to Newcastle and begin running 25km to Swansea.

3PM Return to Newcastle

Raymond Terrace to Maitland. Swansea to Budgewoi – 50km

10.15AM Run 23km to Maitland for Council ceremony

12.30PM Maitland Council, 285-287 High Street, Maitland. Ceremony is formal and lasts 90 minutes.

2.00PM Depart Maitland and drive to Swansea

2.45PM Run 31km Swansea to Budgewoi.

4.45PM Return to Newcastle

Team C
Raymond Terrace to Newcastle. Budgewoi to Gosford – 34km

3.00PM Run from Budgewoi toward Gosford (upto 40km)

4.45PM Return to Newcastle for accommodation.

RV to travel with Team C and complete final 20km into Taree.

1.00PM Run 12km Budgewoi to The Entrance along The Entrance Rd.

2.00PM Drive 23km to Gosford

2.30PM Run approx 40km along Pacific Hwy to start of Hawksbury River Bridge, stop running and return to Gosford accommodation.

10.00AM Torch reception and ceremony at Buddha Birthday Celebration, Darling Harbour

Location: Chinese Garden Forecourt Buddha Stage

Handing of the Torch to Abbess Yilai. She is in charge of the Wollongong Temple, which is the largest Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere. Ceremony will last for 15 minutess.

9.00AM Run through Royal National Park, Farnell Ave, Sir Bertram Stevens, and onto Lady Wakehurst Dr. Proceed onto Otford Dr and left onto Lawrence Hargrave Rd to finish at end of 60km section in Stanwell Park. Distance 31.4km

Drive to Brickyard Point, Austinmer

11.30AM Run on Cycle way from Brickyard Pt to Bulli Pt (end of Point St) 5.5km


12.00PM Drive to Buddhist Temple (the largest Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere), end of Berkeley Rd, Berkeley. NO PHOTOS allowed inside the temple.

12.30PM Reception at Buddhist Temple

1.15PM Depart Buddhist Temple and drive to intersection of Shellharbour Rd and Pioneer Dr.

1.45PM Run to Gipps St Kiama via Shellharbour Rd, Princes Hwy, and Riverside Dr to stop at start of Gipps St. 15km

Bernice will be waiting for you at the end of Point St, Bulli Point at 9:45am

10.00AM Run south on the bike path all the way to North Wollongong Beach, vehicles can use roads to meet the runners in a number of locations. 11km

11.20AM Continue on to Steelworks at Jarvie Rd, Cringila. Follow Corrimal onto Springhill Rd to Five Islands Rd, negotiate turn onto Lake Ave and then right onto Jarvie Rd for photo opportunity of Steelworks 6.7kms

12.35PM Bernice and 1 photographer () to return to Wollongong Lighthouse for Illawarra Mercury interview at 1pm

12.35PM Rest of team continues to Pioneer Dr, Shellharbour via right on Lake Ave, left on Flagstaff, right on Cowper, right on King St. Continue past Primbee along Windang Rd onto Shellharbour Rd to stop at Pioneer Rd. 14.9km

3.45pm Return to Windang Bridge for 4pm Ceremony with Mayor and Indigenous Elder, whole girls team required.

4.30PM Drive to Park Haven Motor Lodge, Cnr Kinghorn St and Douglas St, Nowra

Team C
Kiama to Fitzroy – 51km

7.45AM Depart Sydney and drive to Princes Hwy and Gipps St, Kiama

9.15AM Run along Gipps St onto Collins, and then left onto Terralong, turn right onto Manning for ceremony 1.5km

9.30AM Ceremony at Kiama Council Chambers, 11 Manning St with Mayor and Kiama Independent

10.00AM Return to Terralong and Collins St roundabout and run to Fitzroy Falls. Follow Terralong west onto Jamberoo Rd, onto Allowrie St, head to Robertson, then Myra Vale and onto Fitzroy Falls.
