Bahamas 19 February: Nassau & Georgetown, Exuma.

This morning again we split into two teams - this time we were headed for the beautiful Island of Exuma.

Our wonderful hosts Colin Knowles and Oria Wood-Knowles were at the airport to see us off.

All aboard!

Ms. Maureen Gilbert of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture and made sure our every need met.

The flight to Exuma was truly remarkable - with unbelievable ocean seascapes.

The Police Superintendent was one hand to make sure we stayed safe.

Students from St. Andrews Anglican School ran with us.

Some students ran the entire 14 km (8-mile) distance.

PE teacher Mr. Davis made sure everyone stayed cheerful and encouraged.

Some of our younger team mates.

The entire running crew at the main park of Georgetown.

After the run we stopped in at St. Andrews Anglican School for a visit.

Some of the older students performed a beautiful dance to the an old favorite gospel song.

Principal Rolle and Mr. Davis ran around the students - much to everyone's delight.

All the teachers were eager to hold the torch.

We all joined together to say grace before breaking for lunch.

Jayashri (left) and Boijayanti (right) were delighted with the view we had for lunch. Today was Jayashri's birthday!

Bahamas Information Service photoghrapher, Raymond, made sure all our exploits were captured for posterity.

After lunch we stopped in at the Horticultural Fair and met some furry friends.

We'd been looking at the incredible colour of the ocean all day and Boijayanti wasted no time in getting into the water when presented with the chance. Please note these are actual colours - not enhanced. It is literally stunning.

Boijayanti then flew us back to New Providence single handedly - just kidding - special thanks again to the Bahamas Police pilots for delivering us safely back home.

Meanwhile back in Nassua on New Providence the rest of our team met with students participating in the Temple Christian School Track and Field Meet.

We did a lap with the torch to get things started.

Later in the day we returned so everyone could hold the torch.

After a great day at the track everyone was very happy.

Lunthitha introduced the team and the spirit of the run.

Gabriel from Canada told everyone about the spirit behind the Torch-Bearer awards.

Our driver "Blue" helped out with the Junior Torch-Bearer award presentations.

Three Torch-Bearer recipients - congratulations.

Margo from the Wydham Nassau Resort our gracious host for our entire stay here in Nassau was kind enough to hold our torch.

Boijayanti presents Margo with our certificate of appreciation for hosting us - we're ever so grateful.
