Belarus 7 July: Minsk - Bobruisk

This morning we left the hotel we stayed at for the last two days. How easily one can get used to the comfort of a 'permanent' stay! - WiFi connection in the lobby, restaurant around the corner...

We had out first stop near this beautiful field of flowers, to wait for Matthias. He was about to reach 5 km but the field's call for a photo was too strong. I stopped sooner...

A man came by and told us that he grows the flowers for the bees to make honey...

Classic shot of a runner on a Belarussian road.

The boys playing frisbee while waiting for Alexej...

It's up, it's up...

Nature's beauty along the road...

In Osibovitchy we had a meeting scheduled. A group of young soccer players ran with us to the main square...

... where we were welcomed with music and kind words by the city administration.

The torch was passed and afterwards we were invited to have lunch. The little cafe that served us did a great job. The food was simply the best we've had so far...

Impressions...

... more impressions...

... smiley in the woods...

Olga chillin' in the van...

Forest...

At the regional border before Bobruisk we had a spontaneous meeting. These ladies gave a most beautiful singing performance...

Sergej having fun with his whistle...

... the runners are here!!

... kind words and bread...

Maria playing with, or rather, against the devil sticks. All credit to her - she's been practising every day and made quite some progress in handling them...

Katja from Russia...

... more forest...

On the way to the city of Bobruisk.

Many people greeted the runners on their way...

... hey there :)

The last receptionof the day was at a T34 tank monument. A local TV crew was also there. Yuri introduced the goals of the Run and I too was invited to say a few words. It was quite early when we made our way to the hotel. Dinner was already being served at 6 p.m., so we had time afterwards. Great...:)
