Great Britain 14 June: Ullapool - Inverness

Our host, Tirthika ensures breakfast is up to snuff.

Outside our friend's wonderful house which was our home for last night.

The beautiful village of Ullapool.

Local Ullapool student Erin carries the torch into her school.

The pipe band provided a rousing welcome.

The principal Mrs. Dickson officially welcomes us to the school.

The choir sang some touching gaelic songs.

These two young poets composed the following poem.

World Harmony is something about happiness

Open your eyes, there's a world outside

Run your socks off in that world

Love is something to be treasured

Do your best to have fun

Have fun when you run

And don't stop

Run, Run, Run

Move, Move, Move

Open your love for speed

Nannies and granny have a go

You need to keep going!

Our Scottish contingent performed a highland fling!

The students planted a Harmony Tree.

Thanks so much for a wonderful welcome.

The Press and Journal ran an article about us.

Tarradale Primary school in Muir of Ord gave us a wonderful welcome.

Students hold up their torch.

Who knew running around the "world" could be so much fun.

Making a wish.

Head Teacher Miss Reid shows the school's Certificate of Appreciation.

Innverness - the fastest growing town in Scotland.

Uranta - our Scottish runner enjoying his countryside.

A few steps for harmony.

Are these just rocks in Loch Ness or could it be????

Lenka, from Czech Republic, appears to have Nessy biting her leg.

Balavan makes a quick getaway.

Stunning views of Loch Ness - who knew it was so stunning?

A couple of well-wishers who stopped to encourage us.

Balavan gets his feet wet in in the famous Loch Ness.

Luke Raine and Raine McGuer welcomed us to Foyers and excitedly let us know that they would be seeing us tomorrow as we were scheduled to visit their school.

Teacher at Foyers Primary happened to meet us as we ran by.

The World Harmony Run proudly supports the International Year of Youth (IYY) and the International Year of Forests (IYF) proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly.

See the recent Youtube video which illustrates IYY slogan "Our Year Our Voice"  International Year of Youth - Zambia World Harmony. They surprisingly mention Presidents and UN Secretary-General in a unique way!
