 1. Plaque for  International Year of the Child placed in President 's Park in Washington, D.C.

On 4 October 1979 the United States National Park Service and Sri Chinmoy Meditation at the United Nations dedicated a plaque to the
International Year of the Child. which was placed in President 's Park in Washington, D.C.

2.  MEDITATION GARDEN IN HONOUR OF IYC

A small. sunny area of ten-acre Blake Gardens. Property of the University of California. Berkeley. was dedicated 1 June 1979 as a "Meditation Garden" in honour of the International Year of the
Child. Sri Chinmoy inaugurated the area with a meditation preceded by the singing of "This Is My Year." A bench will be placed in the area facing the plaque on which the words to the song are
engraved.
