Croatia 4 September: Glina - Zagreb

A day of few meetings, but with a lot of running! The temperature is quite high today, however there is a soft breeze and it is perfect for running.

Three local runners joined us for the  run to the meeting at the school.

Welcome, everybody!!! The kids were waiting for us in a long line, and they had flags and balloons.

I ran at least 20km today, and instead of  being tired, I am happy! How is it possible?

Ana asks:" Do you feel harmony?" All the kids are trying to feel it, with their hands on their hearts.

A very flexible girl performed for us. We were all completely amazed to see her gymnastic show. A group of children  then danced for us. They made a long tunnel and all of them had to dance through it.

The representative of the city ran a lap with the torch, taking a step for harmony. The children clapped.

The kids got even more enthusiastic when they could all hold the torch.

The headmaster told us that there are 850 children at the school. That is a lot of kids to take care of.

Even the smallest kids get the chance to hold the torch.

When the children are holding the torch, you can see the light in their eyes.

At the end of the day, a well-deserved ice-cream. Judit invented a rule that we have to run at least 15km before we are allowed to eat ice-cream in the evening. Today we were running almost half-marathons, and that was enough for sure!
