Hrvatska ruta 17 May: Dubrovnik - Vrgorac

..we started the Run from our hotel and went to the local primary school. A nice run along the waterfront, passing old wooden sailing ships...

..Utrku smo započeli od našeg hotela i otišli smo do osnovne škole. Lijep trčanje uz more, prolazeći pored drvenih brodova...

..as we reached the school, the children were already waiting to carry the torch into the meeting...

..first one, the two, later ten school classes gathered for the morning meeting...

..after the presentation we passed the torch...

..the stamps are back!...

..Štambilji su opet u modi!...

..we left Dubrovnik and began our run north, along the beautiful Dalamatian coast...

..napustili smo Dubrovnik i počeli trčati sjeverno uzduž predivne dalmatinske obale...

..the next meeting happened to be in Slano; we arrived after 40km or so running along the sea, and were cheered in by the kids!...

..together we reached the school...
...zajedno smo došli do školskog igrališta...

..the Mayor of Slano received the torch...

..gradonačelnik Slanog primio je baklju...

..children in traditional costumes performed for us...

..the kids probably had as much fun as we did...

..a new member of the dancing group...
...novi član linđo grupe...

..and the traditional stampede...

...tradicionalni stampedo...

Thank you Slano!

Hvala ti Slano!

After Slano there was only one thing happening: running. Eventually we arrived in Vrgorac, today's destination.
